Sridhar Vittal – Secondary Math Teacher (email@example.com)
- Bachelor’s in Mathematics, University of Madras, India
- Diploma in Computer Applications, Annamalai University, India
- Master of Computer Applications, University of Madras, India
I believe that every student has the ability to learn, but each in their own way. I do not subscribe to the one-size-fits-all philosophy. I am very passionate about mathematics because it is just fun. I am so excited to be teaching because it is an absolute joy to see young people learn, grow, and then be transformed into mathematicians. Years ago, as a student of mathematics, I learned well from my mistakes. I own those mistakes, understand those mistakes, and then I re-learn to get mathematical concepts right. If you make mistakes while learning mathematics, you must still be engaged in your learning so you can use your mistakes to learn, succeed, and grow.
I have taught mathematics and ICT in Muscat (Oman), Beijing, Ningbo (China) and Tbilisi (Georgia) besides teaching in India. I am married and have one daughter, Sowmya. When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy playing cricket and tennis. I love chess, too.
